Welding tables light up education!
In early February we once more delivered two new welding tables to ROC Nijmegen [a vocational school]. They had ordered welding tables from us before and they are more than satisfied with them. Sam Heemskerk, teacher of Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and Creative Technology, is really excited: “Your welding tables can be used in a wide array of set-ups, meaning the students can use them for a wide range of different projects and products. The students are able to work much more precisely using these welding tables and weld products in a professional manner. The welding tables truly light up our education!”
Students from different levels work with the welding tables at ROC Nijmegen. They are allowed to think up and create their own projects in the metal workshop. The welding tables are used in the degree programmes Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Construction, and partially in Electronics. They use the welding tables to build frames for ventilation units, lifts, robots, soapboxes and midibikes, amongst others. Sam has noticed the students are excited as well. “They all try to book a slot for working with the welding table whenever one opens up. The welding table offers them a lot of options in creating the projects to their liking. It also offers them some work experience they can build on later”.
Sam heard about Lastafelshop.com through the grapevine. “When I was growing up, I lived right around the corner from the owner Ruud de Boer so I had heard about his company from others. When our ROC [vocational school] was in need of welding tables, I went and had a look at his website. We never regretted this: the welding tables are great and their service is perfect. My colleagues at the Pro College [a trade school] in Nijmegen and the Montessori College Nijmegen – Groesbeek ordered the tables for their schools as well and they are very happy with them.”
